All notifications, whether a new text message or an email from someone you know get lined up under Action Center for Quick Actions. Here they are displayed for a brief period. These notifications can turn out to be more useful or at least make some sense if they are visible for a few more seconds. Depending upon your preferences, you can increase or decrease Windows notifications display time.
How to change Windows 11 Notifications display time
The best way to reach out to missed notifications is to access it via Action Center. It stores all the notifications grouped by the applications. But, if you have multiple apps running in the background, tracking all of them can be a hassle. The best thing to do here is to increase the display time of notifications so you can run through them quickly, Here is how you can change it! You can change your Windows settings any time to adjust how and when you see notifications and which apps and settings are your top quick actions. By default, the limit is set to 5 seconds. You can change it up to 5 minutes. To change the notification time on Windows 11, Press Win+I in combination to open Windows Settings. Scroll down to the Accessibility heading, visible under the left navigation pane.
Switch to the Visual Effects section. Under this section, locate Dismiss notifications after this amount of time option.
When seen, hit the drop-down button to increase the time limit for display time. Choose the desired time. Close the Settings window and exit.

A notification banner can stay open from 5 seconds to 5 minutes before getting dismissed by Notification Center. Setting it to 10 seconds should be good enough for most.
Can I change where Windows notifications appear?
